Background

Commissioned as part of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 heritage programme, this portrait series documents women and non-binary football players across community teams in Milton Keynes. The project focused on everyday participation in football — from grassroots sessions to former players — capturing portraits that connect individual stories to local sporting spaces and shared histories. Photographs printed by Raw Canvas.

Outcomes

A series of portraits produced for the UEFA Women’s EURO heritage programme and presented as part of the tournament’s cultural activities. The photographs were acquired by Milton Keynes Museum for its permanent collection and used across exhibitions and digital platforms documenting the project.
