About the project

Background

This self-initiated project documents the everyday social life of laundrettes. Through portraits and informal conversations with customers, the work explores these spaces as overlooked meeting points where people from many backgrounds briefly share time and stories.

Outcomes

The project resulted in a photographic and audio installation presented in working laundrettes during the E17 Art Trail. The work combined portraits with recorded conversations, highlighting laundrettes as informal community hubs.
